OUR STORY

OUR STORY

Letterbuds was created and set up by David Cohen, who is the original founder and owner of Flower Station London’s 24 hour drive through florist. For more than 23 years, David has been totally immersed in all aspects of the world of flowers. He has established a physical and online flower school and now sources an extensive range and variety of flowers directly from farms in Columbia, Ecuador, Kenya Ethiopia, Isreal and the UK.

The fundamental aim of Letterbuds is to provide the absolute freshest of flowers in their bud form, in the most cost-effective way in order to offer customers quality, value, longevity, and joy.

Flowers are a wonderful gift, providing beauty and calmness to our lives. They are proven to support mental well-being. In a sometimes crazy world, it is our mission to help in a small way to provide happiness.

  • Freshness & Affordability

Letterbuds is more of a family than a company where we put the satisfaction and needs of our clients above anything else. We believe that a happy customer equals happy company. Our mission is to deliver the freshest stems at the most affordable prices.

  • Sustainability

We aim to make our supply chain sustainable by sourcing as many flowers as possible directly from farms, meaning that their freshness and longevity is greater and we cut out a number of journeys to different countries and wholesalers in the usual supply chain. All our letterbox flower options are carefully selected to include flowers that are available all year round and as much as possible, flowers that will last well, to allow the recipient to enjoy them for longer. Our inventory is carefully managed and controlled to allow us to constantly adjust to the flower demand for various seasons and peak events, and thus to reduce waste. As you might have guessed, all of our packaging is recyclable.

  • Diversity

Our company staff come from all over the world and offer a wonderful mix of cultures and energy. Our ages range from late teens to almost 70 and we see only people who are fabulous and committed and love what they do. There are no barriers to age, career progression or country of birth. This truly gives us strength and happiness which is a benefit to our company and staff and we wish the same for every company in every part of the world.

  • Charity

MenCap is our current charity of choice and we are truly delighted and honoured to work with them. Over the years, we have worked closely with Mencap to help mentor and support their students to work with flowers and plants at our floral workshop in North west London. We have received dozens of wonderful people who have had the chance to learn and enjoy and develop skills. In some cases we have offered a follow-up of paid employed positions. It has been our pleasure to host their graduation ceremonies for a number of years and continue to offer our support to this wonderful charity. We donate 30p for every sale of our ‘Bastille’ letterbox flowers.
